Accessibility statement
Our goal
Everyone should be able to read the menu, find us and order a cake, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use. We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA, as required by the European Accessibility Act.
What we did
Real text instead of menu images. Visible labels and plain-language error messages on every form, with an error summary that links to each field. Full keyboard use with a clearly visible focus ring. Colour pairs checked for contrast, and pink never used for small text on white. Allergen and spice information shown as text, never by colour alone. Animations switch off when your device asks for reduced motion. Menu, address and every form also work with JavaScript turned off.
How we tested
Automated checks with axe-core on every page and language, keyboard-only walkthroughs of the menu and the cake order flow, checks at screen widths from 360 to 2560 pixels and at 200% zoom, and with reduced motion switched on.
Known limitations
The Dutch and French texts are still being reviewed by native speakers. The optional Google Maps embed is third-party content we do not control; the address, directions links and opening hours are always available as plain text. The building itself: we will add details about step-free access here once confirmed.
